Hacker’s Keyboard

Most Android pop-up keyboards can be used with remote consoles to administer Linux servers, but usually they’re a bit fiddly, especially when you need a special character, tab key or directional arrows. After you install and open the Hacker’s keyboard app you will be prompted to reconfigure a few things.

After opening the Hacker's Keyboard app you need to enable the new keyboard and select it as the input method.

Once you Enable Keyboard (sliding the switch to the right), and Set Input Method you should be able to see the new keyboard whenever you need to enter text.

There are plenty of other configuration options, including additional dictionary downloads for auto-complete.

If you need to adjust the settings, there is a button to the bottom left of the Esc key. And you can switch to a different keyboard by either holding this button, or pressing the little icon of a keyboard next to the bottom right back button…
